DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

ABOUT ME

After first picking up an Arri 16 in Film School in New York, I've always had a fascination with the filmed image. It carried into my first job at MTV where I not only was production manager for MTV spots, but was handed a Bolex with a 5.9mm lens on it to shoot B-roll at every shoot I went to.

Since then, I've had visual input on almost every project I've worked on, whether I was hired to produce, direct or as cinematographer, I've always been able to elevate the acquisition of the content.

For the last 10 years at Loom Creative, I've been fortunate to fulfil multiple roles on each project, first and foremost as the Visual Acquisition Lead (Director of Photography) for all of our major clients including Stockland, Uniting, Qantas, Conde Naste Traveler and many more.

I have extensive knowledge and experience with the full range of Blackmagic Cinema Cameras including the the Pocket and URSA line of cameras. I've been using them  for over 10 years and own several of their cameras.

BLACKMAGIC CINEMA

Having started my education on Arri Film cameras, I've had a long and enduring relationship with their products and love working with their cameras. They are, simply put, the industry standard and the best visual acquisition money can buy.

ARRI CINEMA

Sony ushered in the digital video age with the launch of the VX-1000 in the late 90's and the show I worked on at that time was one of the first in the industry to use if for broadcast. Groundbreaking stuff. I've had a long and strong relationship with Sony cameras.

SONY PROFESSIONAL

I've owned a Canon camera in some form since the very first time I picked up a camera. Whether it was a still camera or something from their C-Line - Canon cameras and lenses have been a fixture in my life.

CANON CINEMA LINE

I have solid knowledge and experience with  Red cameras. I've been handling them for years and have used them on several select projects. They are remarkably great cameras with a phenomenal post production workflow.
